Clinical Skills Workshop with MPPN

You are invited to join the Midlands Practice Pharmacy Network and Black Country and Birmingham and Solihull LPCs for a focused study day designed to empower community pharmacy with the essential tools, knowledge and practical skills to develop your approach to physical assessment.This event is open to pharmacists, locums and pharmacy technicians working in Birmingham, the Black Country or Solihull.

The workshop will cover the main methods and considerations required for the evaluation of patients with conditions affecting the ear, nose and throat and skin conditions. You will receive a step-by-step guide to techniques such as inspection, the importance of history taking, red flags and recognising the need for referral. The sessions will give you a systematic approach to physical assessment, introduce the various assessment tools at your disposal and provide you with the clinical reasoning to identify abnormalities, support diagnoses and improve patient safety. Please bring your otoscopes, as there will be plenty of opportunities to practice.

The training will cover what to look for and record for the 7 clinical conditions and the main skin conditions patients seek help and support from the pharmacy for.
